A common request to improve the graphics and feel of the game is to have shadows implemented. Whilst nice realistic shadows are not practical for this game (performance and workload) a cheap but nice enough effect would definitely add depth to the vehicles, especially considering they're meant to be floating hovercrafts above the terrain.
The attached screenshot from the Egyptian World shows this subtle yet important effect as well as current progress on some parts of the game in general.
Although these shadows are about as realistic as Arne demonstrating his flying skills in Commando (f**king awesome action cheese fest of a film btw), most players will probably be too busy blasting things to notice that the shadows don't dynamically move around from explosions, gun flare etc.
